Salads and Tatties finished for the year

We've had another busy year in the poly tunnel trilling some new leaves and planting methods - some of which have worked and some of which haven't! It proved to be a challenging year for the salad crops between some pesky rabbits and the heat of July which made many of the plants bolt sooner than normal.  The heat was however great for the new potato crop we were also trialling in the old walled garden. Our white duke of yorks and charlotte had a cracking season, starting to be cropped in June and still being lifted through to end of September. The rain of October has suspended any more harvest as the ground is so wet - fingers crossed there will a chance to lift the last of them if it ever dries up!
